The Skyview FCS department:
Cindy Bergum:
My name is Cindy Bergum and I have teaching for 19 years at Skyview High School. I have enjoyed my years teaching here, but I have enjoyed being a Skyview parent more. Both of my children are Skyview graduates. I grew up in Lewistown, Montana. My parents were business owners in town. I was a third generation graduate from Fergus High School. I broke with family tradition and went to college at Montana State University. The only land grand college in the state. I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in teaching. My area of study was Home Economics which is now call Family and Consumer Sciences. Lindi DeMars: Hi friends! I am Lindi DeMars, and I am just beginning my life in education. From culinary to sewing this is the right life for me! Join me to learn more about my adventures as a Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher! I was raised in Big Timber, MT. I am the youngest of three, and I love spoiling my two nieces. I enjoy the outdoors, love to quilt, and enjoy the art of cooking. I am a big sports fan, and I love to travel. Thus far, my favorite destination is Italy! The colors, aroma, and fresh markets are the very best! In addition I have an absolute love and passion for teaching, and I have full interest in the content I have chosen to study, Family and Consumer Sciences. I love how FCS prepares students for everyday life scenarios, as well as career readiness to prepare them to be functional and responsible members of society. How lucky am I to teach our youth, "Skills For Life"! Katie Gorder: I am a North Dakota native loving the Montana way of life. I graduated from NDSU with a major in Family and Consumer Science Education. I truly adore the teaching profession! I have a true passion for teaching Family and Consumer Science and all it encompasses. When I am not teaching or cooking, you will find me outside doing something adventurous! I try live by the words of the one and only, Julia Child, "Find something you are passionate about and keep tremendously interested in it." I share my passions of cooking with my students in hopes that they will discover their own passions. |
